well its been a long time since ive been on this fourm. i havent been here because of the horrible incident that happen to my s13 chuki(got stolen and they hit a tree) a few months ago . well now ive found another s13 same year same model(SE) but its a auto and i was wondering if its a good idea to buy it(the car is a friend of a friend of a friend). well pretty much if i was to buy it i have to do a complete swap over engine/tranny/ecu/engine harness/full interior(carpet and the inside roof)/sunroof/driver side door. dude is asking $800 and it has a set of clean(meaning very minor scratches) but not my type of rims on them. they're 5 blade, black with about 3/4-1 inch chrome lip, dont get me wrong i like the lip and the color but the design is horrible...i went to check out the car and didnt ask him to lower it or anything i jus told him to not sell it and ill get bak to him once i get the money in like a month or so, he said he wont sell it until i say so. well i personally think $800 is too much coz pretty much its only the shell/frame thats really good(and he dont know i have my old car ready to swap over..xD) i jus said "you know its like $1000 to $1500 jus for the motor alone right?" before i left...
srry its soooo long..xD i jus miss driving a 240...

ehhhh....weigh your options man, you can either...
A. Buy the car with the money you worked very hard for, and then try and find the time to put even MORE work into it, and maybe everything will go smooth if your lucky......or...
B. Wait for a while, suck it up, believe me, if I can wait more than 2 YEARS to have a car i can call my own, you can wait a few months for a better buy to pop up, and believe me if your patient, THEY DO pop up. It took me 4 months to find my 96 Midnight Blue SE model 5-speed. Believe me...she was worth the wait...

well i went and got it...xD....i already stripped out the interior(seats, all the carpet and the interior roof)...o yea i also got the car for $350..next is to remove dash and do motor swap...well i figured its not that hard...and ive been looking for sooooo long and there arent any shells that r under $1500 here n sacramento/san francisco....most of the cars/shells i found r hatches(no offence to hatch owners) or XE coupes..i want pw/ps =p so i jus had to get an SE....ill take some pix and post it up and im planning on making a build/swap over thread on that car with as much pix's as i can...

edit: im pretty sure i can sell the rims for like $300 xD...imma have it up for $500 obo xD...then it means i pretty much got the car for free..YAY!!
