S13 coolant leak

I found the coolant leak. I want to confirm that I need to replace the water pump. If yes, I will follow the guides.

And about the rattling noise, is that the infamous timing-chain-hitting-the-guide noise?

Thanks!

the noise doesn't sound like it's the chain at all, i'd say it's your water pump saying it's last words.

first check all of the hoses around the top radiator hose area. if they all check out than yes it is indeed your pump and it sounds like a super charger when its really going up

There are 6 pulleys.

Left: Alternator
Top center: Water pump
Bottom center: Main engine pulley
Top right: Power Steering

Bottom far right: ?
Bottom (between main engine pulley and far right pulley): ?

Which one is the AC compressor?

AC compressor is the bigger one. If memory serves me right it's below the power steering pump. If it comes down to it just trace the ps lines from the resorvoir into the pump and through process of elimination the AC compressor isnt that one so that only leaves you with one more pulley on that side.

Thank you everyone.

I finished replacing the water pump yesterday. I didn't see any more leak, but I will check again tonight.

I still hear the rattling noise. I think it is the chaining guide.

Did you remove the chain tensioners? There are two that you can remove. Look it up on the boards you'll find all the info you need on the process. If your ish is already rattling I'd remove them immediately so you dont get any major damage.
