okay, i live in the boondocks, and a 240 is a rare occurance here. this one is 2 hours away, and i could prolly get for 1k or a little over that. my parents are giving me 2.3k and i have 4k saved up. should i go for it, or should i wait and try to find a better condition one? ( i plan on moding it anyways, and if i go for this, i could already have coils, a ebizzle body kit, and paint it myself. (ca18 swap this summer))

1st off...where are u located?

2nd. with the money you have, you can get one in better condit. but it might mean that you have to have it shipped to you or go pick it up

i live in northeast wisconsin. i have been checking the for sale section, auto trader, various classified adds, craigs list, autotrader, and other Schassis forums, and the only other one i have found that i am interested is a s14 for 1500, that was in an accident, but was straightened, and painted, only missing a headlight.

 

....or you could always travel and pick it up and drive it home. Just depends how much you really want it.

I'd say shop around but if that 240 you found is good enough for you, go for it!

 

yea, flying is out of the question (parents wont pay for it at least,) if i paid it would drop my budget a couple hundred. and i couldnt pick up by myself until april 4th (when i get my license) we have the money on hand, and would just prefer to do it closer, and my parents are willing to drive, just only about 8 hours one way. (that means chicago)

 

get more info on that car and ask for a TON of pics, cus i dont think you wanna take a ride and be dissapointed, ya kno?

take it from me, its def worth goin the extra mile looking for one and/or even waitin till the right one comes along

yeh, craigslist is meh..check out eBay, sometimes theres some nice ones on there.

Yeah I agree as long as there is good communication and an abundance of photos so you get a good idea of what you're getting.

 

yea and make sure you can test drive it and look at it before you pay
