so just to be sure i understand. you have a leaky hose so you bought some stop leak stuff? if so flush that stuff out, and use plain water. after you do that and have taken care of any leaks be sure to bleed any air bubbles out.

there's a bolt on the intake manifold with a warning sticker next to it. that's where you bleed it from. but first you need to get that stop leak out. that stuff is worse than having a leak because you can at lease keep adding coolant or water. that stuff can plug up your radiator and prevent the flow of coolant. so first tend to the leaks then flush the all the coolant out, refill the radiator and bleed the air.

if i'm right this will eliminate the overheating assuming that air pockets of air were you problem to being with.

Bleeding is a term used to get rid off air in lines or system in this case cooling system. There is no pedal to pump. Just air to get rid off.

The best thing to do is download a FSM (factory service manual) or buy a hard copy. But download is free. you just have to search.

It will give you a very specific instructions on how to do ANYTHING to your car, from bleeding coolant to checking electrical components to disassembling the engine.

Download an FSM.
