s13 or s14

Maybe this was asked somewhere else, but im kind of a newb to 240sx's, so I thought I would ask around. I might be getting a 240sx and i basicly need to know whether to get an s13 hb or coupe, or an s14. What's the difference between an S13 and an S14 besides the body? Which one is better overal reliability, performance, looks, availibility of aftermarket products, sr20det swap? Basicly which one is better overall based on your oppinion. I know there are specs for the car like hp tq weight and stuff but i want oppionions from people who actually own the car and the pro's and con's. I hope this doesnt turn into a flame war. Thanks in advance.

To address one of your questions, the S13 is the older body style (89-94) and has a plethora of aftermarket parts.

Yes this has been asked many times.
The difference between the S13 and S14 is a lil suspension difference..some came with 5lugs..You are probably more likely to find VLSD on a S14 then a S13...the body and interior of course..the engine is the same as a KA24DE in a S13...uhmm and yea thats all i can think of.
They are both just as equal, it all comes up to how much you are willing to spend and which style YOU like better.

Thanks for the feedback guys! if both cars were stock (body), i would choose the s13 over the s14, mainly because the s14's backend swoops up at a weird angle, and honestly looks kinda ugly, but after body kits, the s14 looks the reason im asking this is because i've been wanting a 240 for some time, and i've always wanted an s13, but a few days ago i saw an s14 on the street (i only saw the back) it had an exhaust from what i could tell and it looked really nice. So thats why im now considering buying an s14. Any more oppinions

IMO the S14 with a nice body kit looks better then a S13 with a body kit, if i had the money id go for the S14.

What do you think is a good bodykit for an s14? ive seen all the body kits for s14's on taka kiara and the only one i really like is the vertex kit, but its kinda so i've been trying to figure out a custom body kit with veilside side skirts, cwest/greddy front lip/vertex/ front bumper, i just havn't found a rear bumper for the s14 that actually makes it look good. any other suggestions about front bumper/side skirts/wing/rear bumper?

The Ings kit is awesum..i love the vertex kit. Auto imaging has some nice ones, they dont sell anything any more but that might give you a few more ideas.

S-13's are lighter, and the s-13 and s-14 have both the same horsepower...so power to weight ratio.

When driving your butt dyno will not notice the difference.

Just get what you like and search the site for pictures and parts that spark your interest.

There is no better so this is not something that will get you any great answers.
