S13 steering play

I have about 1 inch of steering play on my 1993 S13 hatchback. So I installed new tie rods, new tension rods, new steering rack bushings, and new aluminum steering column bushing.

I also have Stance CR+ coilover, and all other SPL control arms.

What else should I do to eliminate the 1 inch steering play?

Thanks!

must replace steering shaft bushing.

sort of a pain with the enigine in on USDM cars, but can be done.

easy with engine out if you are putting one it.

if you are going to go through with it, make it aluminum and make it worth while.

Courtsey of N I C O club since there is no write up for it here.

I installed the new aluminum steering column bushing already as I mentioned in the original thread. The is the reason why I posted. I installed everything that I can think of now, and I still have the 1 inch play.

1" of free play after replacing all that you have mentioned is not a lot. but you could check linkage for loosens.
