I'm sure someone here has pulled their heater core out from their s14. I need to replace mine as I have found it leaking. I've since bypassed it but winter will be creeping up soon so I need to fix it.

The questions are, if you've removed yours, was it difficult? I'm done many heater cores on Toyota's when I used to wrench but was just wondering if the dash needs to come out or not.

Additionally, does the a/c expansion valve need to come out with it?

dash comes out / reinforcement bar comes out too. The heater core is dead center behind where the radio sits on S14's. You might have to remove the A/C unit also, since Nissan designed it in some sort of "interlocking" mode (hard to explain until you see it).
