Well i just bought a 96 S14 and got it delivered yesterday, it's got no [engine, tranny, harness or ecu], it needs some exterior work which doesn't bother me it's just ding's here and there.

But i was just curios and got my jump cables and hook them on the big fat red cable to the starter and another black that i guess goes to the ground battery line. Just to look at my beautiful S14 gauges (since I'm too used to the S13) but i could only get the headlights to work, nothing else, well i saw the watch display light up but that was pretty much it .

So here's my Q.
Is that normal?
Does it need the ecu pluged in for these to light up?
