S15

Found this post, is it true

I have just received word back from JDMevolution, and the word is good. JDMevolution is importing the S15 and will make it street legal for the customer. There is the usual down time of 3-5 month "conversion" time where they make the car pass DOT/EPA regulations. Their cars come with extremely low mileage 10,000k and below (for grade 4/5 and 5/5 cars). You can get a bone stock S15 all the way up to a highly modified S15, and the price will stay the same (unless otherwise noted). Here are the prices for a S15 spec R and a S15 spec S that are "STREET LEGAL:"

S15 spec R: 41,000
S15 spec S: 33,000

These prices are in USD. These prices seem to be extremely good to me because a few people have R34's in the US but no one has a S15 and if they do it isn't "Street Legal."

You could get the S15 spec R for half the price of a R34 GTR and (if you had saved 80 grand for a R34) spend the rest of the $ modifying the car.

If you are one of the “I wont believe it until I see it” types tell me and I will send you the actual e-mail.

I would like to apologize to the people that have misinterpreted what I have posted, and apologize for people taking offense to this that weren’t meant to be taken offensively. I take extreme offense when someone implies, and tells me that I’m not an intelligent person, and in my comments I was not trying to look down on anyone or say that I was better then any one.

I would like to end this post on a good note, the S15 is coming believe it or not, but it is coming.

i felt warm inside when i saw that flash intro

Actually there is a blue S15 legally in this country. It went through the whole legalization process. The guy owns a shop and has a Skyline. He bought the S15 for his wife. I think someone on this forum knows the guy. If I find it I'll post it.

I'll believe it when you guys post about how the guy crashed 3 previous S15's for the crash rating reqs that are required of ANY car model that will be street legal.

That's 3 of them WITH full emissions conversion, safety bars, 5mph bumpers, etc etc etc

so at 41k for a Spec R x3... I think u can do the math of why there aren't any of these legalized by a shop yet.

Dude do you realize what you are saying, those prices are a little under $15,000 less than the Motorex R34. Now if I wanted an R32 I could get at the same cost as the JDM S15. Those prices don't fly with me and chances are they won't sell for anybody else either...
There is "NO" demand for the s15 at that cost, when people can swap a BlackTop into there s14 for a fraction of the cost and the cost of the s14 included........ Also take into effect the car sold in Japan, Australia, and Europe for under $30,000.
Comparing the price quotes of an RB26dett with the RB25transmissions come nothing close to the price of an SR with transmission, regardless if it only has 10,000 miles, which I highly doubt since the production of the s15 with SR 20det ended almost 2 years ago......
It sounds like Hocus Pokus and it stinks and REAKS of false information from where ever the source came from..........

I would pay like 15k top for a stock s15... it's not worth much more than that...it has bigger injectors and a little bigger turbo w/ 250hp stock...plus I hate the body style, other than the front lights... I would take any skyline over an s15 anyday.

Obviously you havent studied market research.
Your better off with a $37,000 USDM subaru, or EVO at that price.
I'm all Nissan, but I hate scams.......
