yo he guys. I guess u can call me a noob. But i found a 300 dollar 240sx SE. The year is 1989 and it has 150,000 miles on it, The clutch needs to be replaced and the brakes need to be flanged. There is a little rust and the is a rust hole in the trunk were u can see the ground. The muffler tip is gone so exaust comes in the hole. So u have to cover it. Is it worth buying. He was goin to give it to a shelter unless i buy it. Also the tires are threadless. (the back is)Should i just save up for better. It is a nice 240 though

 

that sounds like it might be worth 300 but with the money you put in it to get all that fixed you could have one in better condition, so personally I'd jsut save up for better, but either way ya go, good luck

 

i would say dont buy it. There's an organization called volunteers of america, and here in new orleans they auction off donated cars to raise money for their charity. I bought my 91 LE fastback for a little over 800. It ran, drove, and had a pretty straight body. My point is, auctions are a good thing, try to look for some organization like this.
