So I get off work and start heading home, its weaksauce raining out so I toss on my wipers.

Wipers are hoppin like theres not enough water on thewindshield, I think nothin of it.

I roll up the windows cause im tired of takin a shower too cool off.

Turn on the A/C.

BAM-- Radio goes out, dash lights start flippin like its a rave party in my car!

I shut off the A/C pop the headunit off and turn out my lights. (it was still light out, just had them on outta habit)

So everythings off cept the airbag light... Which is pretty creepy. I slid my seat back just incase. Better safe than sorry

The baby is sitting out front till I can get the batt and alt tested on monday.

You, sir, popped a fuse. At least thats what I think you did. Check the HVAC fuse.

 

yea something in your charging system failed...

also check the tension on you alternator... one day i hit a bump and it was enough force to shattered the old alternator adjuster bolt and the alternator lost its tension and the car died

Yeah. I think I'm wrong and biggamehit is right. I didn't read your symptoms right.

 

Mine did the same thing, except it ripped the alt belt into 20 pieces and slug them all of the cas wire and ignitor wires and cut those in half. That was a rough night.

 

deffinatly the alternator... gunna go check it to make sure its nothing I cant just fix... otherwise... $160 less one of the 3 other people in this town have an extra one.
