Something funny to me at least

My brother came to my house saturday to paint my valve covers and he noticed the sleepy eyes and said "You do know having them half way down lowers your gas mileage" Is that true?

I would think it might increase, but you would probably need to windtest it to be sure. If he is implying that the aerodynamics is the problem at least....

Yeah he was talking about how the wind slows car down or something in the aerodynamics department.

Having them all the way up lowers gas mileage too. Let's all worry about the 0.00001 mpg we're losing and drive at night with the headlights off.

Are you kidding me dude? It's not hurting your gas mileage.

this sounds like one of those,"a friend" stories where the friend and the story teller are the same person. in order to not look foolish the "friend" is brought into the story. kind of like when the "dad" warns of the potently damage done to the ecu by cutting the brown wire.

but i could be wrong.

Tell him you have your balljoints phased in at 30degrees which lowers the car, cutting the lift-induced drag under the car. Which in conjunction with the sleepy-eye mod, creates a beneficial vortexes of air at the front, top & rear of the car, creating downforce, inturn making the car faster.

You'll lose maybe... 1/300th of a mile per gallon???

That right there is utter nonsense, your mileage is not harmed in any way. What does your brother drive? a prius?
