sound comming from my left back wheel

well when I am driving my car and floor it starts making this squeaky sound at high revs just before it changes gears(auto) but it's not always as loud for instance when I floor it from idle it's pretty loud but when I rev slowly up to about 3K rpm it not so loud, anybody know what I could be?

sounds like gear whine... try changing the gear oil in your trans and the gear oil in your diff and see if that helps...

this is if everything else is right with the trans and rear end... if you have shift issues then i would say that you have a set of syncros going bad in your trans...

blah, that is what the problem with autos is, to many problems, when a problem does occur, just spend some money and convert it to a standard, problem solved.

I would also start be changing the trans and diff oil... but it could be something much more serious

bare - swapping to 5sp is sweet, but some people dont have the time or money for it

5spd would be sweet but I would have to import from us so the cost will be about double what you pay in the us when every thing had been added (taxes and ****)

well if you have to import it from US, i'm going to guess you have a KA series engine (?) if that's the case, do some research or PM Big Vinnie, he'll be able to tell you which transmissions from other Nissan cars are compatible with your car. I can't remember where I read it, but there are various Nissan truck transmissions that are compatible with the KA engines... and I KNOW u guys have Nissan trucks in Iceland because I saw it on Travel Channel~ hahaha... It's worth a shot to look around, good luck.

i got my car on a lift today and took a few photos and half of the diff is coverd in oil and it leeks out around the right axle, so i took off the fill plug on the diff and it was more than full so i am not low on oil but I have to get rid of the leakage. what do i need to buy?

you nead to reseal the axel shafts... they make a seal kit for it that replaces both sides at the same time... you have to remove the axels to do it but it looks like you could use it...
