Sparco hoodpins anyone??

i placed an order from importfan (GTP) the other day. i needed two pairs of CUSCO hoodpins. They seem to have alot of hardware that comes with the kit, and most of us know that CUSCO is a reputable company that makes quality products. Well GTP called me back tonight and told me they only have the sparco pins and that cusco is discontinued. i was like WTF ... i need these things a.s.a.p. so i changed my order to the sparco ones... she said i can send them back if i am dissatisfied. has anybody had experice with the SPARCO hood pins? These are fully functional... they will be the only things holding my carbon fiber hood down, which i want to stay down! thanks for any feedback!

What's the difference? Does it matter if you have sparco hood pins instead of cusco ones?

Well I bet any moron can make good hood pins. You never hear anything bad about Sparco and they make parts for a lot of race teams.

true, true, i guess i'm just a little paraoind that these are the only things that are coming between a 470 dollar carbon fiber hood coming through my windshield i also want good quality, don't want to replace these things every other month because the metal is bending and stuff. thanx.

any hood pin will work..
even if its made by obx or ichiban
also
any hood pin can fail..
the key here is the installer..
make sure you get it done right..
brand names are just brand names..

Did she give you a discount for the Sparco's or did she charge you the same price as the Cusco's? Only because I would think the Cusco's are more $$.

she gave me a discount... the sparco pins are only like $25... the cusco ones i ordered were $50. I guess i saved money but i just want to make sure the quality is there. She said i can return them if im not happy with the way they look. They don't even have a picture of them on the site! only cusco is advertised, so we'll see.

That's true, hood pins are hoodpins, I mean it's only metal, it's not like one is made of aluminum and one is made out of titanium, it's all on how you install it, I would go to a shop to get rivots instead of screws, just in case....
