Speedometer, please someone help

OK, I bought a new speedo sensor installed it a while back and now im getting to the point where im getting my license in a few days. I dont want to get pulled over and find out im speeding the hard way. What is wrong with it, everyonce and a while it bounces to around, is it the connection, or is it a problem in my actuall speedometer?

speedometers are over-rated! I had a problem with mine when I did the SR Swap. If I were you I would look for the JDM cluster, and purchase it. Indeed it is going to be in Kilometers an hour, but it gives the car a certain unique-ness and it should solve your problem.

I'm assuming the cluster you have is the original one that came on the car back in 1990, so I would guess that it is the cluster. You should be able to pick up a new one for about $50.

If I get a new cluster can I just swap out the speedometer part. Because I remember in Sport compact cars project silvia they swapped the cluster but kept the speedo.

Im pretty sure its just the connection of the speed sensor. They have a tendency to get disconnected or loose. Try fixing that....if it doesnt work check the wiring behind the gauge cluster, or replace the gauge cluster.
