Sr20de

is it possible to put a FWD SR20DE (from sentra or other nissan)into a 240sx? and would it be cheaper to add turbo to a domestic sr20de rather than shipping the engine all the way from japan?

money can do anyting, but to convert a fwd motor to rwd would be expensive as hell. you can get a ca18det for about 800-900$ plus shipping, and you will have the cheapest turbo motor you can get.

you don't want to put that engine in your car unless you want a headache. It is possible, like cutter said, anything is. This isn't a good way to go cheap in my opinion. ca18 might be your solution, they are good little engines, fit right in like a sr, a little smaller, but for most people more than enough hp. The only problel is finding a lower mileage one.

175 stock, can handle up to like 250-275 to the wheels I believe without having to upgrade the engine. But searching will find you more answers.
