Thumbs up started my swap today (e to de)

well i started my 90 fb today with a 92 dohc motor in it. The engine sounds good but i didnt have the intake piping hooked up so it didnt idle very good or wouldnt rev very high. I noticed in the swap faq it says i NEED the dohc coil, which i havent replaced, i used the sohc one for now and i checked my ngk plugs after i ran it for about 5 minutes and they were all very black. Well at least i know the engine doesnt knock or anything , but i'm going to replace that coil today with the dohc one and try to find some intake piping.

oh i am definitely planning on getting the rb25, its just that i still need to save a lil more before i can make that purchase and in the meantime i couldnt pass up a ka24de motorset with tranny and computer, maf, coil for 100 bucks. With this motor i just plan to make sure everything is running the way i want it to before i get the rb,, like brakes,, suspension setup, bushings, etc.. because mainly i was getting tired of seeing my 240 in my back yard not running

BTW, As of yesterday i started driving the dohc swapped 240 and it runs pretty good. I'm just waiting on an ebay intake so i can put the hood back on and take off the ghetto temporary intake i have setup (i couldnt close the hood with the filter sticking out so much). I think once i get the intake it'll fix most of the vacuum leaks i have and give me better throttle response, because when i give it alot of throttle in 1st sometimes it'll bog down and then go. But other than that the engine feels strong.
