i did a search and didnt really come up with anythign that pertained to my issue.

to start im a no0b to Nissans, ive worked quite a bit with Hondas but no Nissans. I bought my '93 240 about a year ago for a backup car while i worked on my crx. it has a few issues.

1. When i crank the vehicle, it starts for a second then dies. if i give it gas for a few seconds it will idle fine, a little low, but stable.

2. While driving at a steady throttle, say 40mph in 4th gear, the car will kind of studder once and a while, feels like its missing almost then catches power again. the rpms dont drop, but it does surge.

What could cause these problems? the car runs fine other than that, acceleration is great, has plenty of power, just a few minor issues that become extremely annoying after a while. any help is appreciated

look into the mass air flow sensor, and idle air regulator

I had the same problem with my car. Try changing the spark plugs and wires. That fixed my problem. If it's not the plugs, it's prob the maf.
