Unhappy Stupid Me Stupid Me

Well, I was driving to school this morning to take my first period final exam and then go home at 10am, but my ****ty luck said `hey why dont I hit this car in front of me.` This is wut happend: I was behind the school on a straight road with 4 continuous stop signs with about 200 feet btw each sign; at the second to last stop sign, I stopped, looked both ways, but didnt see my friends moms black mercury sable coming from my right. I dunno how I didnt see it, but it seemed like she came outta nowhere. So i hit her drivers side door and pretty much smashed it all in right near the bottom. My cars bumper is all FOCKED UP and so are the headlights... THe side fenders are a little bent up and so is the hood. The ****ty thing is I only have liability insurance, which does not pay for my cars damages... I was thinking instead of buying an OEM bumper, which would run me quite a bit( prolly 400-600?) Im tempted to but the Drift One body kit for my 1991 240sx hatch from AITRACING.COM. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???WOULD THAT BE A GOOD IDEA? INPUT INPUT INPUT PLEEEEAAAAASSSEEE!!! Dres240

Well, if you buy the bodykit, what will happen to the fender and hood and headlights..ohh jeez..i would just go to a junkyard and find all the parts.

hmmm, thats bad lucky man, hope your friends mom doesnt hate your guts...onwards to the advice, I'd say try your luck at some junkyards, you could get lucky and if worst comes to worst you could always go to the body kit...so i take the engine is fine? just structural damage eh?

Yea the engine seems fine, still runs like before the crash... I just took the front bumper off and the bumper itself that absorbs the shock is pushed over to the right a couple of inches along with the metal that holds that bumper on. Is it still fixable if some of that is all bent up in front? b/c mama dukes wants me to sell the car but im quite reluctant

yea man that does suck but why not upgrade while you have the chance right? if you planned on kittin it up i think it would be a waste to get it fixed back to stock then just throw all that out the window when you decide to get a kit, just my opinion

It's possible to fix the body, headlights, n all that, but its not worth the $. JUNKYARD or new kit would be the way to go.

the drift kit from aitracing looks good...simple and goes nicely with the body...hehe as long as its nothing ridiculous like some shogun body kit or something . If you got the money..go for it. Some kits fit, some ya gotta do a lil modification fit on your behalf. I dunno about aitracing, never bought from them.
