switch location

Hey guys, i'm needing to instal two switches.

I have an S13 Fastback, no idea where to put them.

I was thinking about the open space ( for all your **** ) below the radio. I just need a panel to put in there. That is the ideal spot, but i don't know where to find some sort of panel.

Any help?

Thanks guys-

Ignited sells a din panel where you can put up to four racing switches in it. I had one in my last 240 and I have one on the way right now. It's pretty sweet and it's like 13 bux. It comes with the mounting brackets also to attach to the radio support brackets so it doesn't move. Autoaccessorystore.com has them. I'm sure other places do also but that's where I get mine from. Or you could make just a piece of aluminum or w/e to go across and find some way to mount it there. It's up to you.

yea, i need a spot too, i might just mount them in the actual dash - i need to look again to determine where... put the switch panel^ is a good idea, I might make one so it only covers part of the "open space"

The ignited one covers it completely. It's a DIN sized panel so it just replaces the bottom section. That way you have 4 switches there instead of useless space.

For my '90 I was at my little cousins house and he had a few Tech Deck ramps sitting around and I asked him if I could rip the top off of one of the ramps. It was a near perfect fit in front of the '**** hole' behind the trim. I just cut it a bit and it blended in nicely!

Here is a picture of what i'm talking about. The top of the ramp minus the sticker.

It's one of my best kept secrets that I have been asked about tons of times by fellow 240 drivers. :P

I wish I did, man. I could check with my little cousin and hook you up if he still has it.

Go to any hobby store and you can get a flat piece of plastic (1 smooth side, one textured side) about 8x5" for like $4

cool Pics would be cool.

I want them to be visible though, like in the console, DIN panel would be perfect.
I don't plan on doing much to the interior, i don't think. So a few switches to spice it up would be sweet.

I can't put switches there (under the dash) anyways .. lol i'm 5'10" or more by now. I don't have much room.
