Question Talk me into trading my CRX for a 240sx

Ok. I was offered today to trade my 90 Honda CRX Si for a 240sx. I believe it's the 89-93 style (?)

If anyone has any input on the pro's and cons of ther 240sx of those years (I expect a ton of pros!) then please, post like mad.
I'm already leaning really close to trading, I like the chance to go RWD and try some moderate drifting (nothing crazy) and would probably be interested in doing an engine swap (funds pending) to an sr20det from nippon-motors, unless I could get great power from te stock motor.
So if you could give me input galore, I'd be very appreciative!

Oh yeah, lemme know what some good 1/4 mile times are for a 240sx with a not so super crazy setup.

1)Its RWD
2)Its RWD
3)Its RWD
4) There are so many things you can do with 240s!

I think you all ready have been talked into it No really, they are great cars. The KAs can last a very long time and is pretty damn reliable if taken car of correctly. It isnt much of a 1/4 mile car..in stock they run high 15s/low 16s. With some modding you will probably see mid 15s, possibly low 15s.

you seem to ALREADY be convinced. There is no question about it, you should definitly trade your CRX. I think you will find that the 240 is not only more fun to drive but the handling will make you more than satisfied. Dont be like every other kid out there and get a Honda, be original and go for Nissan!

you will get your answer as soon as you hit a turn at 35 and hug the corner then bring the tail back

yup, yup, yup. these guys have already got it covered:

- RWD (no brainer)
- sporty suspension
- is that CRX of urs starting to go UP in value? the 240 is
- reliable (w/decent maintenance)
- a little thing we like to call torque

Thanks for the replies. Now I'm just waiting for the guy with the 240sx to reply back. Is the 89-94 style decent and reliable? Probalby the first thing I'll do is turbo it one way or another, probably a swap since I think it'l have over 120k miles. In all honesty, what are some problem spots with the car I should look at? Rust etc (rust is common for honda's and the guy said the sx had a little)
Thanks!

Thank you.
To Each Their Own.
I actually bought a Crx, and it's the definifion of rice, but 30mpg in a 2100 pound car and it's pretty quick. I'd rather another 240sx, but it's a great winterbeater so my 240sx can shine during the summer, heh.

Keep the crx, some guy over here has one with a engine swap with a b16 and its running 13 sec. in the quarter mile with just gas. The Crx is very light and with a swap is very fast. If doing engine mod's not your style then yes switch the cars.

Wow a pro honda post, hehe. Unfortunately I got stuck with the CRX. The guy had misinformation from the guy he was getting the 240sx from, it ended up being a 200sx... Grr. So I'm keeping the crx and gunna turbo the heck outa the d16a6 until it blows up or hits 10secs, lol! Ok, maybe not 10 secs..maybe 12.
