overall body rust bro.. that is all.. most common area is right below the brake master cly due to guys pouring brake fluid with their eyes closed.
also pop open the radiator cap you should see green fluid only. not brown or milky color.. and check reservoir should be green also..
if not that indicates a motor that has been ran hot more than a few times and the headgasket may be on the way out.... and that could knock off a few bucks that you could paypal to me...

$3000 seems too high to me.
but rust is a common plague for most older cars. if you're concerned about a bad gasket and such you should also pull the did stick out and look for the milky white stuff mentioned already.
something i've noticed over the years is that a used car lot will put new tires on a car uneven wear problems. the cars with no such issues will have bald tires that have had some shiny stuff sprayed on them to make them look new.

unless the car is completely rust free and in amazing condition or SR'd or riding on wheels and coilovers, $3000 is really too high.
PHYSICALLY GET UNDER THE CAR AND LOOK FOR RUST!!!

Hmmmm, that actually does look clean. Is that a paint imperfection on the 2nd picture on the right quarter panel? And also on the rear wheel well in the first picture? Otherwise, that car IS clean. I would maybe pay 2500.

^ 240's aren't reliable Also, if you look on craigslist and etc, you could get one for less than 3000 and maybe even less than 2000 especially since you're in california(i think).

That 240 needs some work, I can already tell. First off, the clearcoat is fading. Paint isn't cheap. Knock some cash off of the price. She's riding on steelies with teardrop hubs. Knock some more cash off. How is the interior? Faded? Cracked? Missing altogether? How is the car mechanically? Have you test driven it? 145k miles, though low by comparison for its age, is still kinda high. Do the headlights work? Do they make noise going up or down? Has it been wrecked? Any records of maintenance? Anything visibly wrong under the hood? Cracked vacuum lines? Half-assed repairs? How is the suspension? Worn bushings? Worn struts? How are the tires? Will the owner let you do a compression check? Does the A/C work?
You see where I'm going here.
240s are known for a few things
1- Rust
2- Electrical issues
3- Simple, yet time consuming motor repairs
4- Worn suspension/bushings, namely the TC rods and rear subframe bushings
5- People who don't know crap about cars doing half *** repairs before you guy it.
Good luck mang.
