Have been pulled over three times in the last month.
I have tickets & court date already so cops can't really do anything. Still would rather avoid being pulled over for no reason other than technicalities.
My problems harping me.

1.tinted windows (apparently no tinting of the front windows)
I have a fix it ticket to take off the tint on the f/windows.

a.Should I take all of it off & waste my $125 I spent. I think the front no tint and back tint sucks. But I have no idea to get around this.
b. take front off,keep back on and stfu

2.Modified exhaust (no modified exhausts in the state of CA,this has been told to me twice)

I have been pulled over many times for this. I have a paper w/a pass on db's level for CA. It printed out that I passed but I really didn't pass. It read at like 112 or something nasty. Would rather avoid the police all together.
here are my solutions

my ride:na ka24de w/intake
2.25 cat-back piping w/
$220 Blitz nur-spec muffler AND $55 baffler

a.$150 Magnaflow dual-tip muffler(quieter,keep performance,cost as mush as resonator)

b.$90 vibrantperformance.com high flow resonator(cheaper than replacing whole muffler but pretty expensive for this,keep performance, I like the look of the angled muffler,quieter, still pulled over for 'modified' exhaust)

c.$20 restrictive resonator at local muffler shop (lose power but keep looks I like, cheap fix for noise, probably pulled over still on the look of muffler)


I just want it to be quiet w/performance and be a one time fix. Probably would have saved some mad cash to put elsewhere in my car if I did all this before.

I trust you 240 guys opinions.

Tint is gay! take it off! Get an exhuast with a carb number from the manufact. But to tell you the truth, you should just keep the stock exhuast on a N/A ka24de.

 

Yeah I didn't know that this exhaust would be a ****ing loud as it is. I've read that the magnaflow is quieter cause of the bigger muffler style,not the canister tube style.

 

Just put the stock one on. You dont really get that much more hp from a aftermarket unless you have turbo.

 

Actually I threw the stock muffler out....so yeah.

 

this is why im glad to live in alabama. we have v8 trucks with exhaust so loud you can here them a mile away and its not breaking any law.

 

Yeah in Alabam you can also "noodle" for catfish (poaching) and get away with it.

Do you need tint in Cali? Does it really get that hot? I tinted my windows shortly after I moved to Arizona, only for the fact that it gets pretty hot here.

The exhaust.. well, don't fight the ticket. I'm pretty sure it's illegal anyway. Cali is like so strict with their laws.

Since you've been told twice before about the exhaust, why do you still have it? I guess you didn't learn the first time.

I have a Ractive exhaust, but it's loud and would get the cops attention.

I really don't know what to suggest for exhaust on 240s. All the ones I've seen still make the car kinda loud. Not Civic loud, but loud enough for a cop to still notice you.

 

I dont like tint, thats just my opinion. I have a hard time seeing out of it when I am driving. My car has this ugly *** tint that bubbled everywhere, it just makes me hate it even more.

 

if i were you id take the tint of and get stock exhaust. your in cali and its to much of a risk of having after market parts. or just buy a dd and have your 240 as a track ****. off road only car.

 

i know people who have gotten away with tint,you can get a doctor to write up some phony papers saying that your eyes are sensitive to the sunlight,and sun glasses bug you.i know a couple people who have gotten away with this

 

I think you should try to keep your tint if at all possible. As for the exhaust i would suggest going with the magnaflow or just getting a cheap resonator, maybe you could find a used A'pexi one or something. Good luck man cali sucks and owns at the same time.
