ok i might be dumb or living under a rock but i saw on a vid that had something like a radar detector and it timed quarter miles and 0-60 and other cool stuff anybody know what its called or who makes em?

There are several brands of these out, I've never seen a clear decision on their validity. As luck would have it, the first of a 2 part review on one recently got posted:

i have one. its called an accellarometer. mine is beltronics and its sweet. cheap too! used it tonight in my buddies evo and he ran and 14 sec 1/4 in the rain and he spun the tires. 99.3 mph top speed. SWEET!
