Angry Torture!

Hi, I'm new here. I am in the process of working out a deal on a 240, but I dont know the year or exact model yet. But, from what I can tell it still has a good engine, and a good tranny. (5 speed) And for the whole deal I'm pretty sure the guy only wants like $4-500, which I thought was a pretty good deal, especially how hard they are getting to find (around here anyways) and how much they're going for. I havn't been able to get a hold of the dude lately, but from what I've heard all it needs is a new exhaust system. (which is fine, because I would wanna put like a 3" cat back on it anyways) Does that sound like a good deal? I mean, its not the best LOOKING car, it needs work, but that can be dealt with. (its got like no rust, few dents, one headlight is stuck open) But all that is ok, because the tech school I go to has a auto body repair shop, and I'll give it to them for a "project car", just gotta pay for paint I believe and a small fee for them doing it. (a lot cheaper then getting it done professionally, and it still looks awesome) Its just torture because I drive past it EVERYDAY, and its just sitting there so helpless.

Whats with the SN? Anyways....your dealing with your average money pit here...yeah its only 500 NOW...later on somthing might break, costing you 500 to fix...thats the value of the car already...O wait does it pass smog? Uh-oh...more money there? Salvaged title? Check the car over REAL well before jumping to conclusions, it doesnt have rust, thats a good sign....

Yea I need to check it over, but when he parked it, it was still legal and running. He just parked it cuz he got a truck and stopped driving it. And as for the sn, I dont know, I couldn't think of anything else.

What ARE all the models of 240's they made? I know it has the flip up headlights, and I know its a newer style (90's at least). I will try to get a hold of him and check it out. I was thinking of just stopping by and looking at it, but I dont want people to think I'm trying to steal the car or anything lol.

so it's a 91-93 eh? ka24de is the engine in it... 2.4Liter DOHC

there's no way i'd pay more than 3k unless it had like 12 miles on it. lol.

also, from 89-93 they made two different body styles... Fastback, and a Coupe.

OH snap, I didn't pay attention to that. If it's in the 100's and there are barely any dent's pick up that bucket and get it runnin to par, thats a steal.... I mean deal!!!!!!!!!

Just make shure there is no SALVAGE on the title.

whys it bad to have a salvage title? I am pretty sure its never been wrecked or anything because I doubt he would have put the money into it to fix it if it was.
