You think that's torture? I've hardly been able to find any 240's for sale around here, and I just came across a completely stock, super straight 95 240 with a 5 speed and his asking price is $3500, which would easily bargain down to 3 or under. So what's keeping me from buying it? I have to get rid of my truck and have cash in hand if I want to buy any car, and to do that I'm going to be without transportation for a while with the rarity of 240's going up constantly. I could have my parents help me out by using the home equity line and paying for the car upfront, then I pay them back when I sell the truck, but we're refinancing right now and don't have access to the line at the moment. So basically I'm stuck with a truck that gets 15 to the gallon, and is ungodly slow, and on top of that gas is going up a dime a day (sometimes even less than a day), and I keep seeing 240's and have no chance of getting one.

i know this is far away form you both but i would say it is a deal either way... go to the southeast threads on the boards and look at the tenneesse members post... there is a 92 or 93 240 5 speed straight body listed there for 2100 bucks... catch a greyhound out here and buy it drive it home for another hundred in fuel... get a straight coupe with good motor for 2500 bucks... and all your problems are solved...
ps... i have 2 of them and one might be up for sale in the near future... dont know yet but i might sell my coupe and keep the hatch...

looks like a good deal man!
The big idea with the salvage, is especially that it is a unibody. Thats not good with wrecks.
Look it over, make sure its not burning oil and what not, all the usual stuff.
Oh yeah.... if you do buy it ... don't go with 3" exhaust unless you plan on turbo. without turbo 2.5 will sound better and give better performance. :-)
toodles.

Yea maybe I should just get the 2.5" for now. I DO plan on either doing an sr20det swap, or just turboing it, not sure yet, either way its big dollas. About how much is it for a complete turbo set up with all the things I'd need (like internals and such)? I know its an extremely vague question, but whats the bare minimum I could get one for? Even if its only a small one running a few pounds of boost? Because there was this one website I found that had a bunch of fully built sr20det's for like 3 grand.
I don't think your going to find any real fully built sr20's for 3 grand. Thats a little more than what a stock SR20 cost. If your looking to turbo the KA check out ka-t.org, they have some good info, also search around here there should be some good info here as well
