Trade?

Ok. If someone offer to trade you running 91' 240 auto for your 93' 240 with a bad(MAYBE locked uo) motor that i'm trading him for the head work on my 89' 240(which leads me to believe that the motor isn't bad) I'm not being suspicous our nothing, just thinking.

If its not your daily driver and you're planning on swapping or turbo then keep it. A KA is not that expensive anyway, chances are you could pick up a motor that is better than the one is that 91 and get your car running again. Manual is way more fun than an auto anyway.

No it's not a daliy(it ain't running) but he's getting the bad motor anyway. Another way I can ask this is "will it be cheaper to do a auto to manny swap, or to drop in another motor?" I'm going to go check out his car today before I go to work. It's killing me that BOTH of my 240's are down, I REALLY want to drive them!

I'm converting to manual myself, Auto to manual conversion will average ~350-400, plus tranny fluid and other random stuff. You can pick up an engine for ~150, and just drop that in yourself. I'd rather a car that is already a manual, and drop in an engine. You have 2 240's, you deserve one to be working, lol.

The egine will definitely be cheaper, and like Dr. said i would rather have a car that is originally a manual. Keep it man.
