Underbody Cleaning

Underbody Cleaning
I have a 1990 240SX hatchback... it has minimal rust, but it does have the typical rust problems of our beloved cars... [IE; front strut towers, area near front subrframe...
But my rust is easily repairable ...
However, My car was driven by someone who lived or drove on a dirt road almost everyday... so the underside of my car is covered in caked on decade old dirt. What is the best way to clean it like new?
I was thinking maybe I could put it on a lift, and powerwash the under side of the car, then just drive it a bit and let it dry?
when i repaint my chassis do i need to have the underside sandblasted and painted too?
didnt see a thread for this, so thanks for any help!

Lift and pressure washer will do, slowly, but it will do.
As for repaint, the under body has a material similar to bed lining (for the most part) But its up to you on what you want to do after you clean it.

+1 For the bed lining spray. You can actually buy it in cans and spray it, I have some I will check on the name of it and will post it for you. For the underbody a pressure washer will do or you can use mean green and some elbow grease, but if you have access to a pressure washer it would be faster
