Using a lot of gas.
yes def. check the O2 sensor... and also check your oil cause if its ****ty it could be a cause of the mass gas consumption (or at least it was in my old civic... but that was a honda so who knows)
My car has the check engine light ,actually both of them and I think its the o2 sensor on yes they would eat gas ,especially my automatic one ,I did a full tune up in both of them ,gas mileage when up like maybe 3-4 mpg and is about 22city/26hw mpg so when I get the change Im gonna have to put a new one on it coz this gas sucking shiat sucks lol but oh well I still love my car.

rivneo1 :To answer your question an O2 Sensor is good for 30,000 miles . At 9,000 miles that O2 sensor works at only half of it's potential , so pretty much they go out quick . I would change mine every tune-up or every 4 oil changes ( That's if you change it ever 3k miles )
Also check to be sure you have no fuel leaks . Do you smell any gas out the engine bay ? Smell any from the exhaust ?

hmm..this problem sounds oddly familiar..lol i think i have the same thing too...its running around 109k miles..i filled up full and had to refill again after 230 miles...which i think is around 13 mpg also...only thing i have in the car is an injen intake and apexi n1 exhaust...i recently bought it and the spark plugs and fluids have been changed..no check engine light comes up though. it may need an oil change and a tune-up though..so when i do that ill let ya know if it makes a difference..
p.s. i can literally see the gas gauge move if i take rpms up to like 6000 lol

Although this is an old thread I will post what has happened recently.... I posted this thread about a week after I bought the car...it's now been about 7-8months. Gas mileage hasn't gone up at all. I've changed every fluid there is, done another tune up, found that two injectors were leaking (got that fixed) patched the hole in my intake. It turns out that things seem to be worse now
My car idles extremely rough (whole car shakes like mad) No dummy lights are on tho. And to top it all off, i'm still getting horrible gas mileage.
Anyone looking to buy a 240 in Ontario? lol
