I am going to go check out this 1990 240sx soon and i was wondering where is the vin number on the engine? Also is there one on the tranny?

 

VIN number? Thats usually on the chassis of the car. That's on the dashboard, door sills, and firewall. The one on the firewall has the engine code, tranny code, and all that junk. Check the firewall for that info.

 

aite thanks. Also is it possible that the owner can mess with the miles on the car?

 

It is VERY easy to turn back the miles on a S13. My buddy can do it easily, forgot how though

 

This really scares me...So is there anyway i can tell the owner has messed with the miles? The car is a 1990 with 106k miles on it btw.
