well this fkn sucks
okay here's the deal.. i've been looking to get a new (used) car lately, and i have 5 bookmarks for autotrader in my browser.. one for rsx-s, srt-4, prelude, wrx, and 240sx. i usually check them daily, and today i went to the 240sx one and OMG!!! there's a 1998 black 5-speed 240sx for sale with 41k miles for $11,000 at good and reputable dealership. that's pretty much the perfect 240 right there imo.. but here's the problem..
i showed it to one of my friends, and he showed it to another one of his friends who has been looking for a 240 also for the past year, he already has one now but it's a 96 and automatic. he'll be showing his dad the car tomorrow and most likely since his dad knows how much he wants it, he'll get the chance of picking it up before me.
i've talked to him a few times and i've even raced him a few times with the car i have now just for kicks and he's always seemed real cool.. but does anyone else think that's fkd up of him to do something like that.. knowing i was able to find it first and call about it, make sure it's available etc.. and then just ****** it from me?
that just makes me angry
i probably have worst luck when it comes to cars..
1st is the 2nd gen mr2, perfect.. kit, rims, system, new paint.. etc, but parents didn't like it
2nd is another 240, turned out the owner raced it a lot and it had high mileage anyways
3rd was a black rsx type-s. i went to go check it out with my bro and my dad but it turned out it had been in an accident and had noticeable frame damage
4th was another blue rsx type-s, i saw it and was going to buy it a week later, but that same day it was totalled right infront of my eyes
5th was a blue wrx, perfect condition, low miles, nice and stock, but then the owner didn't wanna sell it anymore
6th is this 240sx.. pretty sure the other guy will get to it first
doesn't get any gayer than that!
and one of my good friends has a black 240 also, and and my parents have seen it and they love that car, which is EXTREMELY rare for them to like a car that i like also =X

Dont tell no one about anything. If you plan on buying something, & you know your friends like the same thing...DONT TELL THEM!!!!
That is like posting something you are going to buy on Ebay & asking if it's a good deal( like something "rare" for a 240sx). Be expected to be outbid for it, becuase now everyone knows about it.

thats some cold business right there, but thats how the world works, defintly when it comes to 240's i guess, many people offer to buy my 240 but i always say no...well unless they offer me about 5k then sure, i can get another 240 he he...but yea, still try to get the car if possible, or put a down payment, if possible, and if not, try next time to not tell anyone, tell them after you buy the car, youd be happier that way...good luck with your search

haha, yea, Well... not to intrude here, but i've looked at ~20 240's int eh past three months trying to find one that is atleast drivable... All the ones that were where sold anyware between 24hours or 10 mins of my arrival.... or the rest of them ( ~15 ) had rotted framerails.

sorry for not replying in such a long time! everytime i tried getting on here i got an error. but anyways, i went to go check it out the next day after seeing it.. and guess what!?! it was fkn automatic! so i said screw this and asked if that was the only one they had at their dealership and they said yeah.. they just accidently put manual instead of automatic on the autotrader ad. how GAY! but oh well.. now my heart is set on either an S2000 or WRX (if i can find either with <30k miles for around 18k or less). I'll still keep looking for a kouki style s14 though.. but the chances of me finding one with 40k miles like that one are slim to none.
