Some kind of sensor? Is it the reason why my check engine light is on?

Bluejayde 06-21-2005 07:42 PM

Wow, oil leaks own you.

And my reply is worthless because I don't know. Sorry.:dunno:

l3ooherS14 06-21-2005 08:40 PM

Yeah, i just had the oil pan seal replaced so it doesnt leak any more. I need to clean it tho.

damn man..... its gotta be something like a crank angle sensor or speed sensor, or something man... mmmm i can't seem to figure it out either. tomm.. drive up to auto-zone and have them scan your ecu and write the code down.

wikd240 06-22-2005 03:25 AM

that looks like the sensor inside of the powersteering lines... there should be a spot for it where the powersteering pressure line goes into the rack and pinion... or... it is the wires for the ac compressor... the colors look like the compressor clutch wires on my 93... but if that is what it is then you would not have a working ac system... i guess i should ask if your ac works or not...thats the only 2 things i can think of in that area...

A/C works great.

I have some unused harness plugs on my car also.... is this because these are just extra plugs or because they would be used with a factory option (i.e. fog lights,etc)...??

Initial Daniel 06-22-2005 04:11 PM

You should check to see if those plugs draw any current when the car is on, or off, just to make sure before you deem them "unused".

l3ooherS14 06-22-2005 05:03 PM

Well, up under there, there is a plug and an outlet thing already hooked up and then that on hanging down like an extra. I think it could be the fogs or most likely the se alarm system hook-up.

SHIFT_Sideways 06-25-2005 01:51 AM

firgue it out yet man???

l3ooherS14 06-25-2005 05:32 AM

Nope

Initial Daniel 06-25-2005 06:16 AM

I don't think factory alarms use harnesses like that...

I have an electronic copy of the FSM. Let me know if it's that serious.
