What is this?

Another question. What is this, and why is it just hanging there?

Some kind of sensor? Is it the reason why my check engine light is on?

that looks like the sensor inside of the powersteering lines... there should be a spot for it where the powersteering pressure line goes into the rack and pinion... or... it is the wires for the ac compressor... the colors look like the compressor clutch wires on my 93... but if that is what it is then you would not have a working ac system... i guess i should ask if your ac works or not...thats the only 2 things i can think of in that area...

I have some unused harness plugs on my car also.... is this because these are just extra plugs or because they would be used with a factory option (i.e. fog lights,etc)...??

You should check to see if those plugs draw any current when the car is on, or off, just to make sure before you deem them "unused".

Well, up under there, there is a plug and an outlet thing already hooked up and then that on hanging down like an extra. I think it could be the fogs or most likely the se alarm system hook-up.

I don't think factory alarms use harnesses like that...

I have an electronic copy of the FSM. Let me know if it's that serious.
