I checked for the part at courtesyparts.com and this is what i found. I wonder if this is the right part. Weird thing is, mine doesn't look anything like that. http://i47.tinypic.com/357g7j9.png |

that first picture doesn't show me enough to really know what i'm looking at. but i am possitive that it's neither of the two temp sensors you are asking about.
|
it does look like the water temp sensor somewhat... also It looks wet.
|
I figure it out.... its the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
I know what it is... it reads the temperature of the engine of course. But what happens if its dysfunctional? What does it do to the engine? |
Ok so i went to the auto parts store and got a Coolant Temperature Sensor to replace it and its a totally different plug.
Is it not the engine coolant sensor??? I looked it up on the service manual also and it did say it was the engine coolant sensor as well. Not sure why its not working. Help?? |
It could send the motor into fail safe to protect itself from certain doom.... it needs to be replaced..

wow well that explains somethings(obd2 port) haha

yea if its later in the production time.. its rounded up the the next year and will get the latest technology the newer model will have. I dont know if manufactures still do this.
for example my skyline is a later year 94 and features the newer electronic hicas system Vs. the older Hydrulic system. |
