i know i should post in drivetrain, but whatever. i need a lot of people to see this for help.

i brok the sensor at the top of my bell housing on manual trans. what sensor is that?? is that the speed sensor? cause i need to go to the dealership and get a new one :-/ anyone know how to get the trans in withou breaking? hehe

cripes, wild guess for me, but i think thats your reverse gear sensor. have someone stand behind your car and put it in reverse, if the lights come on then im wrong. if they dont come on, then i was right on a lucky ****ing guess. im still searching for a 240 to call my own, so i am mostly useless on 240 specific info.

 

actually, i think it's the crankshaft position sensor... *sigh* thank you though

 

I broke the same sensor, it is the crankshaft position sensor... it's going to make ur check engine light go on if you don't replace it (don't ask how I know). Unfortunately I don' t know if it's the same thing that caused my knock sensor and egr valve solenoid to go bad... lemme know if that happens to you, lol
