What Would You Do?

Question What Would You Do?

Hi, I feel kind of bad posting this because there is a thread similar to it recently posted.

But I would like some opinions because I am having a hard time making up my mind about which way to do. I am leaning slight more towards one way than the other. All my friends are telling me to go SR20 (dsm guys) but I kind of want a better suspension setup.

Heres the deal. I want to know what you fellow club240'ers would do. I have the opportunity to either swap an Sr20 into my S13 with some basic boltons.

Or puchase more suspension goodies. I already have wheels , a Polyurethane bushing kit, Tein S-techs, AGX's, and a Greddy F&R strut bars (newbie gear). But I was looking at Stance Coilovers, RUCA's, Tanabe F&R sway bars and possible some nice new sticky tires for slightly less than the sr.

So what would you do if you were me? Plus my motor is in great shape and runs very well, which also adds to why im thinking about suspension.

Thanks for all of the input, Sorry for the long **** post. And I
hope no flaming occurs.

EDIT: I use my car for a lot of touge runs in the good ol' Appalachain Mountains and some auto-x. The more I think about it, the more it gets easier.

if youre engine is in good ... great condition... put a copper headgasket on it and do a turbo instal... ka24 engines arent as bad as everyone says they are...

also... you will need shorter pistons if you want to run anything more than 10psi ish of boost
just some thoughts
and if youre going to get any higher than 300hp you will want to do sr20 or rb25 / 26 swap because the engines have more potential than the ka24 .. .but for low hp gains the ka is fine

i would def do suspension first. teh ka has just as much potential as sr. you can get a good numbers out of it if you do internals.

Suspension and maybe some power mods, seeing as you have a pretty firm grasp on suspension thus far.

I really appreciate everyones input. I already order all my suspension goodies. The way I see it now, basically my suspension for my car is finished. Ive done just about everything I can do, besides swaping out the arms and what not. I was really considering the turboing the KA instead of the SR. But I just really like the appeal of the sr, higher revs, motor built for turboing. Plus I could make around 400whp on stock internals with a tune. So maybe this year ill get the sr.
Thanks again fella's.

So? The KA has been proven to be able to make over 500 ponies on stock internals. I think the record thus far is just over 600, but it blew because an injector failed and superheated the cylinder and welded itself.

Thats fine and great. I really like a kat and i am not bashing in any way. I believe its really just a matter of prefrence. But anyhow, I dont want this to become an SR vs KA thread. There are tons of them out there. Thanks though.
