What would you guys do??
Ok guys i want a new car for school, still keepig the celi but for show car only. I found a 90 300zx N/A and a 89 240 with a sr with turbo, engine looks amazing.
Pros of 240 less miles, faster (turbo) cheaper, easier to get to things, parts are cheaper owner owns a jdm shop, price 6G
cons paint job not that great, body kit small crack, and bubbles on roof, my mom said looks like rust then just painted over and buble in tint
(everything on the 240 is greddy or HKS or veilside) has silvia front end conversion
300
body in PERFECT COND waxed twice a week,
cons more expensive.. price 6800, slower, rip in seat
just wondering what car you would pick. I like both for diff reasons I leaning to the 240 bc of speed
With the 240 I wanna put the 240 back to stock bumpers. I dont want a kit on it, Its an s charge kit? But since it has a conversion is it possible?

haha yeah... don't even bother with the 300zx.. you'll have so much more fun with a sr20det power'd 240sx.. trust me.. who cares what the paint looks like... just check for rust under the body and such...how many miles are on the body, and engine? can you post pictures of both cars?
also, $6,000 is a good deal IMO for an sr20det, and silivia front end conversion 240... hopefully it's a coupe what suspension setup does it have?
and sell the ghey celica and use the money to further build the 240sx.
for the bumper, you'll have to buy an oem silvia front bumper.

yeah 240 all the way man, its a great deal.
the SR is like 3k and the conversion is like 2k ... your basically buying the parts for it!
Also, guys don't be so closed-minded, let him keep the celica if he wants it.

hmm... let me get this straight:
for $6K u get -> SR powered S13 w/Silvia front end
for $800 more u get -> a slower, heavier, more expensive to maintain and insure alternative
wow, tough choice...
[/sarcasm]
seriously, i'd say u know best what u want. my opinion is the 240 all the way. best of luck to ya, either way.

Yeah man look for cheap alternatives like 1981-86 200sx rear wheel drive, 1989-1998 240sx, 1986 toyota corolla AE86, Datsun 510, 280z's, 1980's 300z.
Anything made in the 80's the insurance is dirt cheap and lets face it. You need a beater, so when you drift and hit something you won't give a shiat when you wreck it...........

As long as you understand that the s chassis is designed for rear wheel drive you are good to go.
s12's had a major transformation in Japan from the z18et engine to the CA18det engine.
In the U.S it came with a BOO BOO NAPSZ N/A engine, the block it self isn't boo boo, but the head is. Since the NAPSZ and KA engine blocks are compatible most people keep the engine blocks and do a KAe or DE head swap and turbo charge it for a fast high rev engine.........
Cheaper than JDM SWAPPING especialy since you can get an s12 for under $1000..............

When you come to find out that the resale of Nissan is cheaper and the cars produce more power and are just as reliable P.M me when you get smart. I've built both, I chose Nissan..........
The Celica GTS is garbage and needs major internal work for proper boosting, plus I hate front wheel drive, it's like driving a Honda, unless you have an old school Corolla "AE86" don't waste your time with Toyota.
My homie still can't sell his 91 Supra Hard TOP "not Targa" and it's been on the market for months," would you like to buy it????" Exactly over rated and NO ONE wants it............
Shiat look at the 2JZ, needs major internal work upto $5000, plus the additional $3000 for the engine to swap out......
$8000 for 700CHP....I don't think so, not here.......
It's like us Nissan Enthusiasts say it's for drag queens..................
Research an RB30det and the RB26dett there interchangeable heads..................
I'm not here to give you crap, but if you bring your Toyota non sence here I will hoo ride like a Oakland Raiders fan................
