What would you pic? S13 or S14?

The thing that frustrates me about getting a S13 or a S14 is that none of top d1 drivers use them for comps there’s only like 2 or 3 , makes feel like s13s and s14s aren’t . . . . . cant find the right word.Such a hard choice, drives me crazy

I got all summer to decide

Asking which one to get is like asking: Apples and Oranges? Sirius or XM? Black or White? KA-T or SR20?

...I'm sure everyone has a preference, but at the same time each has it's positives and it's negatives. Figure out what those are for YOU, then decide. If it's a matter of what D1 drivers use...well...

A) You're not a D1 Driver.
B) If you are, why are you here?
C) Can I have your autograph if you're Ken, Rhys, or Sam?
D) Get an S15.
E) You're right, money doesn't grow on trees.

...Yeah, thats all I got.

If this is basically an opinionated thread...in the case that both were the same color, same miles, and same condition, for the same price.....id take an s13...my preference though...love the flip-ups

Ha ha thats so true.......The S15's own D1 man, Yasayuki Kazama in the Green Silvia S15 pretty much dominates everyone at the moment.

As for S13/S14
it depends on what kind of car you want.....S13 and S14 are both good cars but its about the driver preference. I myself like older cars (that dont work ) thats why I got an S13 but, I still like S14 also.

IM guessing this is going to be your 1st car, just keep in mind if you are on a budget, everything for S14 is usually more expensive.

D1 car huh , if you are looking for a D1 champ, just go get an FD.

i had an s13(under steer every ware) where as an s14(drifts every ware).
i owned both and sold the s13 why cause s14 is way easier to drive.
in comparison the s13 drives like an old heavier 86.
the s14 on the other hand handles like a supra and is more smoother.
just saying u can do soo much more with an s14. the s13 is just way out dated. it sux. as far as parts cost. its same if not lil bit more. the actual car cost is a big difference. s13($500-$3,000) s14 ($4,500-$10,000)
i got lucky and got mine for $1,500 from auto trader.

I have driven both, and stock... they do drift differently, however, a good driver can make either of them work VERY well. In my experience, the 13 is more popular in the top drivers than the 14. It also depends greatly on the power steering set up ya got. if ya got a 13 supa hicas..... HOLY SEX BATMAN!!!! And the truth of it is.... with aftermarket parts and money... you can change the character of either of em to fit whatever style works best for you... Since it is your first..... keep in mind that rear quarters come around very quickly, and will likely end up scrappin somethin at some point in time.... That bein said, I have also found that stok body parts for the 14 are more expensive, as well as the base purchase price. If you are plannin a swap..... both cars take all the same motors, with a similiar amount of work.... pretty much comes down to style preference, and what you can get your hands on. I agree with mote..... gimme the flip ups!!!! 13s Rock!!!

I can't believe this thread. You must also eat wheaties because it's the breakfast of champions. Just get an s13 because they're cheap, It looks like you're going to slide it so you're bound to eventually hit something. Hitting an older, cheaper car hurts less. Especially since this is your first car.
