What's the highest milage some of you have seen on a 240 with all origional non-rebuilt engine-trans? I am buying an 89 for $200, it has 205k, auto tran. All miles put on by female exchange student from Vietnam. Origional owner, small dent on driver's side qtr panel. All records since new, oil changed every 3k and tran fluid changed every 30k. Looks new inside!

i've seen a guy that had an 89 with 351k miles on it.. stock, original motor... he was selling a car on ebay.. pretty crazy.

btw, good find.. you could put another grand or less into it and have a newer engine, and 5spd tranny.

 

I plan on rebuilding a ka24de using a the internals of the 89 sohc. I have been told by a few guys at Abel Racing in OKC about a combo involving such. I would like to find out more but lost contact with them.

i only have 222K on my KA24E (non rebuilt).

275 thousand and runs strong but leaks oil i think its the crank seal we shall find out

 

on a 94 altima... 328,xxx. still got 24 mpg

 

185,500 and running way too strong
i dont think i could hurt the engine if i tried

 

When i bought my shell it had 252k on it before it blew an oil seal.

 

i have 176k on my mostly running KA24E

 

Mine leaks oil too. I share your pain. And you MIGHT be barking up the right tree about the seal.

 

great price..... especially with a running motor. i just picked up a 90 5speed w/ blown engine (overheated), for $200. definately cant go wrong with that price. nice find.
