Its all in your preferences. I love the Evo MR and would have no problem with the price tag. It is simply a joy to drive. Just the same with the STI. They are really more about the experience rather than the amenities.

However, just the same, I love a good S14 anyday and would gladly drive even a bone stock one for great DD

LOL!

I know . . .I know . . . this is why i was like "No need to defend the STi" and junk, LOL! The STi is a great car and with the right tuning, as you already mentioned, it is very capable of destroying many cars in its class.

there's been a 95 SE for sale in my town for months now priced at $3500. i was thinking about getting it as a DD, and leave my current one as a street legal track car.

Positive camber? oh hell no... thats like asking me to make a fwd 240... I dont know how XS Engineering did it, but their STi (modified 2000 WRX) handles like no other. Many reviewers who drove that car couldnt believe that it was actually an AWD car.

Im still not sure of what car I will get next. Seriously, why does it have to be so hard to choose a frickin car?

It isn't hard to choose a car, you're just making it harder than it needs to be.

Well, the thing is, I've narrowed the cars I would buy down to a small handful. Problem is, I dont want to deal with buying another car and modding the crap out of it. One reason why I knew I shouldnt have bought my current S14.

I'll just leave this one to my brother to deal with when he's ready to drive. But when he does... crap. I'll rack my brain out worse than I am right now. I love my S14, just that the rest of me is ready to move on to something better.
