Where to find a good 240 FB (91-94)

I've been searching........ I couldn't find much good ones around in bay area , CA. Anyone has a pointer? I try classifieds, Auto Mart, Diablo, Murcury News, S.F. Chronicle, Yahoo, auto traders, car.com. Not much luck so far.

Thanks.

BTW, Is HICAS good? I know it is 4WS. But, is it a good thing for drifting? How it differs from RWD in drifting?

I believe cars w/out hicas are better for drifting but im not positive about that. If you do have a hicas car there are hicas eliminator kits which keep the rear wheels from steering.

Nzo,
How much does a hicas eliminator kit cost in general? Would it be more maintenance required? Does it break down easy?

HICAS is Nissans version of 4 wheel steering. I've seen HICAS equipped cars do drifts but there ALOT harder to keep in a drift. Basically the rear wheels turn a little to cut the cars turning radius. It helps for U turns and basic street driving stuff but most track Z's ive seen remove it. But some people get use to the car with it and run it just fine. As for the elimination kits for HICAS equiiped cars Stillen makes the kit to remove it and its about 500 bucks. A company called Rush Motorsports is developing one right now but i dont know the price of it, ther number is (619)337-2979 for anyone intrested.

I know there is a JDM part called 'drift pineapples'. Theyre kinda like a rubber donut or something. They look like pineapple slices and you put them next to the rear wheels so that they cant turn. I think jspec.com sells them but I dont remember for sure where ive seen them.

Should you all think I should get a HICAS? Or, walk away? I try to get more info. about HICAS. But, very limited. Which forum do most 240 owners visit most often? Can anyone points me there?

Besides, how does it differs from regular RWD in cornering? like an AWD car?

If you havent already you might want to check out Freshalloy and try a search for HICAS.

Also check out this thread at ********** forums. Should be some good information about hicas and drifting in those forums as well.

Thanks, Nzo.

I finally have a chance to checked out a silver/light blue 91 240 FB.
It runs strong but it has 172000 mi and it is base model. Does anyone knows if it is easy to put a Power Window & Power Mirror?

For that silver/light blue 91 240 FB with 170k mi. All stocks. The owner called me and asked for $3,150 (post for $3,800). I still think that's too much for that car. KBB rated for $2,500. Any thoughts?

I would hold out for exactly or really close to what you want. Just think if you think the car cost to much now, How much will it have cost after you put the upgraded features you wanted (i.e. power windows/doors). Also if you dont like the price if you ever wanted to sell it you probably couldnt get your money back out of it.

Statik,
You are right. But, it seems difficult to find the right one (even though many ppl. selling it, many ppl. look for it too). Does this car worth $3k? I am not sure about its value. The market value is $2,500 at most ( according to KBB).
