my starter is actin up now. sometimes it wont even crank. i think i need a new starter. i want to test it but im not too familiar on where the starter is located at on my 93 240se. its a ka24de.

is it by the alternator and oil filter? how does it look like?

 

The starter looks like a big can with a smaller can attached to it. It's located to the left of the oil filter under the intake manifold.

 

On my hatchback, is kind of hard to get to it.... to take it off you need to get to the bottom of car and unscrew from transmission....imposible to reach from the top........
