HELP! Do you think this sounds like my starter is bad?
Well, after having lunch with my girlfriend yesterday, when I go outside to start my car it just sat there. it didn't even try to turn or click or anything. All the warning lights and radio came on like usual but the thing didn't even click or try to turn over. I finally had to pop the clutch and got it started but when I got home (20 miles later) and turned it off, I went to turn it back on and it struggled to start but started. Now it is back to the just sitting there not clicking at all.
Could it be the starter? I had the battery tested and it had a full charge when I brought it in so I don't think it's the alternator. Could it starting right after me driving it for awhile be attributed to having a warm engine and the starter wouldn't need to do much work?
It's a 96 altima. Thanks, I really appreciate any help anyone can give

I personally don't think its your starter. You said you had absolutely nothing when you went to start it. That to me sounds like you have an alternator problem of some sorts. I know your battery was fully charged when you tested it, but test the alternator anyway when the car is running.
If you tested it after you got home and it didn't start again, there could be a possibility that it got some kind of charge on your 20 min. ride home.
As far as I know, popping the clutch does not involve your starter, so being that you had to pop it would not signify your starter is bad.

it must be the wiring......
all the symptoms that you stated clearly points to one problem your wiring is geting weaker, go to your nearest auto electrician tell them to install a starting relay this thing will help the flow of elctricity to the starter. this kind of problem usually occurs in old cars and automatic cars .
hope this help..........
