Why the SR20det rather than a turbo'd KA?

Why is it so much more popular to swap the Ka out and put in an Sr, rather than turbo a Ka? That site on the right about the turbo for the KA looks quite enticing.

rods and pistons can handle heavy boost on the sr and the high redline.

ka is good for drag though.

the KA has rods and pistons that can handle high boost as well. The KA's main weakness is the poorly balanced crank, which is the reason for it's lower redline.

I prefer KA-t, but I would love to own an SR, CA, or RB car as well. All the setups have their strengths and weaknesses, but are all fun, because the 240sx is inherently a fun car. To me, that's what it's all about: having fun with the car, no matter what motor or setup you have.

I'm getting really tired of threads like this though, because most of the time they just turn into another SR vs KA debate or are just pointless like..."which motor should I swap?". If everyone would just research past threads and related sites on their own, then we wouldn't have to devote entirely new threads to stuff that's been covered hundreds of times.

No offense to newbies or anything, but I'm just about to the point of telling people who ask these questions to just pick a motor or setup and see what happens.
