Would 190000 miles be too much?

Hi I am looking forward to buy a 240sx and I found 1 that's 190000 miles. It's only 1200 and I wonder how long will the engine last? It'a a KA24E and I wonder what is the average life expectancy of this engine? thanks!

Depends on how well it was taken care of. I'd ask to get a compression test and see how the numbers are, I have seen KA's last for quite some time though.

Well your not going to find a low mileage 240sx for that much. You get what you pay for. A chassis alone runs in cost from $300~$1200. I say do it, and if the engine runs decent save your money for a swap or build and run the engine into the GROUND!!!!!!

I agree with everyone's comments above.
If it was taking care of somewhat it should last.
Mine went to 200K+ miles and I've seen some go beyond that.

Just remeber its gonna need some TLC, especially since its an old car.

so basically it will last for a normal driver, considering Airman Jackson drives like a wild man on the loose!

My Odometer broke at 110,000 miles and that is before I bought the car 3,1/2 years ago.LOL!!!!!!!
I just have to compression test it once a year to know it's still running strong.
Actual mileage means nothing, it's really about how much abuse the last owner put into it.

this is true, most of my miles came from commuting. the guy before me drove it 1000 miles every week, not exaggerating.

I wouldn't buy it.. unless you are going to swap the motor out right away. I like Nissan and trust the KA, but I'm not sure if I trust the KA at nearly 200,000 miles though.
