Its an s14. i have no clue.... but it may have something to do with an electric fan (a/c fan). Other than that idk. My acura legend had a switch under the hood that would bypass the electic fans except for one... that way you dont get all chopped up.

thats the detonation switch. when you get really sick of your car you press it and the car blows up... or maybe it turns it into a tiger or something. i cant remember.

I am not sure either, but the first response seems reasonable....what could possibly switch on/off with the trunk being down/up

The only thing I could imagine would be an electric fan, like he said

I haven't looked at what this does on my S14, but on my old Jetta, I had a switch like that connected to my alarm, if it was armed, and someone opens the hood, it sets the alarm off.

i dont have a funny reply...

anyway, does the car have an aftermarket alarm? if so its called a vallet switch. its like when u go to the car wash and you want ur car locked but the alram to not go off...u press this and it basically allow you to shake the car and try to open the doors but the alram wont go off.

mine was under my dash when i had it installed but they also asked me where i wanted it to go...

it almost looks like a hood pin for the alarm but it looks like its sitting to low.

hope that helps
Jay
