Talking yet another emblem removal thread

Anyone have best practices for removing the plastic emblems on the trunk lid? The original owner placed a silvia emblem on the right and I want it off and rebadge it as a 240SX, as it should be.

I took a hair dryer and got the area hot and then started to run fishing line through the back of it. However, because there was a lot of resedue being left behind, I was unsure if I was being wise and stopped. If anyone can suggest any ideas.. I'll be much grateful.

Thanks!

please don't put that silvia emblem on your car.....your car is a fastback. Only the coupe have the right to it even tho it really isn't one. just my .02 but it's your car so to each his own
