-o, yea. I meant for each mount, there will be two pucks with a layer of window weld between them. I'm not about to spend $200 on a pair of "solid" mounts when i can make some "canuck mounts" for like $15.

of course you cant make your own pistons and valves unless you have a cnc machine in your basement with some wicket Auto cad skills and smart computers lol.. but other things can be fabbed . Sometimes you get labeled with GHETTO mods lol...

-hell yea. it sounds like we're on the same side of the fence here. I have seriously improved my car like 100x over just by saying "f-it" and going in my garage and doing work; stinky, sweaty, sometimes dangerous work. While Johnny Lightning was ordering his intercooler kit off of ebay, i was making one out of old f-250 powerstroke turbo lines that i go from a local 4X4 shop for free.

P.S. - I was wondering if there was a way to make a solid tranny mount. I've looked around but haven't found anything. I'm kinda wondering about running puck-mounts with a stock tranny mount, because that energy has to go somewhere.

some skate board wheels work just as well or better than the pucks. they already have the hole so it's just a matter of shaving them down or using them as is.

as for the tranny, i've seen some aluminum one's on line somewhere.

Man I thought I was getting out cheap... I just bought some Devcon Flexane to make my own. I spent $25 on the stuff and have yet to pick up the threaded rod and washers/nuts, but all together it'll probably be like 30-35 total. I just don't know how thick they need to be until I get the others off to judge by. If I have any Flexane left over I may try to figure out a way to do the trans mount. But yeah... skate board wheels and hockey pucks... that's dang cheap there...wish I would've thought of that.

I know a guy that makes some. They are $50. I'm searching for a picture of them. They are machined. Basically a clean hunk of metal with a hole drilled thru it.

That's not bad for solid mounts. Just depends on if you like having your teeth vibrated out. :laugh:

Honestly its not that bad. After they were first installed the car shook alot, but after about a week I think I either got use to them or they settled and they aren't that loud. Its no louder than having an exhaust on your car only difference is its vibrations.

Also I tried to remove as much random things, like pens coins anything metal, laying around in the car that would cause vibrations.

-I picked up some hockey pucks today. It took me awhile to find them considering i live in southwest florida. I had to drive 30 miles to Germain Arena where they have like the only skating rink in my area.

I did mine a little differently, but still the same concept. I didn't use the 3m, I used a high density polyurethane called PL window weld.

that's that same stuff i was going to use on my old mounts after i installed the cusco ones. i was really bothered by all the extra noise at first but i'm use to it now.
