i know this is a dead thread, but i have something urgent to ask, and im sure others can benefit from this as well. For the 4th group of digits, the Body Type, you only list 2 options, yet my VIN includes a 4 in its place, which isnt listed. At CARFAX, a 2 in its place is invalid, so i know the VIN hasnt been tampered with. So is there in fact more options for that 4th spot?

 

There was a VIN decoder specific to the 240sx, however I lost the original chart. You can check out this page though, made by a member here, he used the 240sx specific VIN decoder to make it, should help you out.
