I am going to get that Blow off. It just sounds perfect and will make a few kids scream.

is it going to be worth the time and money to put a dinky volvo turbo or t25 on at only 5psi?... not really. It will be fun for about 10 minutes and will get boring quickly. if you're going to spend money on all the other associated turboing parts might as well spend a few hundred dollars for a nicely sized turbo that will hold all the way through the powerband at 5-10psi. I would reccomend doing a compression/leakdown before you decide on anything. On a side note, i have the old style hks bov like typex180 too and i like it. But bov should be on the bottom of your priority list. turbo, manifold, fuel injectors, fuel management should be your top priorities.

acura rider, it seems like you are in waaaaaaay over your head. You need to do some research, read every thread you can find about turbocharging and EXACTLY how it works before you get started on this.

I a reading the threads as I am doing this. I have people who are going to help me. I am looking around for a good parts site and when I get everything I am going o post it here and see what you guys think. Before I place the order, I am going to do a compression test and if it does not come out to be a good amount, I am going to replace the engine with a KA24DE.

Where can I get a KA24DE, do you think they might have them at a local junkyard? Can you put a KA24DE where a KA24E used to sit and would anything need to be changed? Thanks.

Well guys, I have a SOHC and how much should a KA24DE go for? Is a different wiring harness and transmission used?

What site should I get to use to buy my parts from?

I talked to my Dad and the car needs some body work and that is what he wants to do first, so I will most likely order my parts until the end of May.

Ok, don't flame me. I know this question has been asked before. I did the searching and found some tutorial on how to do the swap.

My question is that, there are many DOHC 240sx engine. What would be the easiest swap out of all of the years of KA24DE? Would it be the 1991 KA?

What should a stock KA24DE go for? I have heard 800 from some people and 500 from a junkyard here in NYC.

If anyone lives in Queens, NY and is selling a KA or has one laying around, let me know.

91-98 w/e. its a ka. find one that was in running condition before it was pulled. or simply find a junk motor and rebuild.

you shouldn't have to pay more than $300 for a ka. Its a chunk of iron. Just have to find the right deal. and not some dude trying to rip you off.

edit: when their telling you to search that doesn't mean just here. There is google, yahoo, other 240 forums, ect.

I called up a local junkyard and the guy told me that a 1991 240sx S13 KA24DE will cost about $550.00 with 80,000 miles. Is that good to you guys?
